ACT Nomination Guidelines for 2023

Canberra Matrix

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) government has recently updated its Nomination Guidelines, bringing changes to the eligibility criteria and the Canberra Matrix. The new guidelines will impact prospective applicants who are planning to apply for ACT nomination in the near future.

Under the updated guidelines, some changes have been made to the point allocation system. For instance, applicants with a spouse or partner who meets the English language proficiency requirements will receive additional points. Also, applicants with a skilled partner will now receive more points than those without.

It’s essential to note that the updated guidelines will impact applications submitted after 20 March 2023. However, Canberra Matrices submitted in the last six months will be assessed against the new guidelines.

If your application has been refused on or after 20 March 2023, but it would have been approved under the new guidelines, you can submit a request for reconsideration to [email protected].

It’s crucial to read the new ACT nomination guidelines carefully to understand how the changes may impact your application. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact the ACT government or a registered migration agent for assistance.
